Our newest hospital Auckland West, on Central Park Drive, has opened. VSA Mt Albert is now closed and all our staff and facilities have moved to our new site.
Our newest state-of-the-art veterinary hospital is light and airy with leading edge facilities. VSA Auckland West offers specialist surgery, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, cardiology and physiotherapy services as well as animal emergency services from our Animal Emergency team.
VSA Auckland West is conveniently situated with plenty of parking on site, Just 10 minutes away from our first hospital in Mt Albert, the new site is easily accessed from Central and West Auckland, Hobsonville Point and the North Shore.

Our Auckland West team is lead by Dr Damian Chase, Registered Specialist in Small Animal Surgery.

Diagnostic imaging
Our VSA Auckland West team provides advanced diagnostic imaging services to ensure that an in-depth plan can be made and appropriate treatments can be recommended.
At VSA Auckland West we have in-house CT, radiographs (x-rays) and ultrasound as well as access to MRI. Dr Mike Coleman leads our team to provide our advanced diagnostic services.
Anaesthesia
Our anaesthesia team is lead by Dr Joana Chagas, who is the only registered specialist in veterinary anaesthesia and pain management working in private practice in New Zealand.
VSA Auckland West is equipped with state-of-the-art anaesthesia machines and monitoring equipment. We can provide advanced care such as mechanical ventilation, invasive blood pressure monitoring and multimodal analgesia – analgesic infusions or local-regional anaesthesia techniques.
Physiotherapy
Physio plays a key role in the recovery of many of our patients and provides a solution to chronic pain-inducing conditions that would otherwise need medication.
Our physiotherapy team work with advanced technology including K-laser treatment and hydrotherapy to give the best possible care and solutions to our patients.
