West Harbour, West Auckland

West Harbour is a suburb of West Auckland, New Zealand, named for its location on the western side of Waitematā Harbour.

At the 2018 New Zealand census, West Harbour had a population of 11,373 with 3,468 households.

With the special terrain of West Harbour, most of the houses have spectacular sea views and city views, making the suburb one of the most exclusive suburbs in Auckland City.

Recreation

West Harbour is home to Hobsonville Marina, a large privately owned recreational boat harbour in the upper Waitemata Harbour of Auckland. Hobsonville Marina provides a combination of premium cafés, shops, outdoor activities and entertainment.

The Luckens Reserve is a green open space overlooking the Waipareira Bay to the east. The reserve is well-preserved by the local park council and is used for a wide variety of events such as concerts, open-air film screenings, hiking, picnics and other recreational activities.

Education

Massey High School, Rutherford College, Henderson High School, Liston College, Waitakere College and St Dominic College are locally located secondary schools serving West Harbour.
