ABOUT OUR SHOP Founded in 2013 Eight one Eight barbershop has been a staple business within the Glen Eden community for a number of years. Originally Eight One Eight was a partnership between the 3 original barbers Grayson, Eddie & Liam. As the years went by everyone went their separate ways leaving Liam to take full ownership of the business. In 2020 the lease for the shop ended & plans were put in place to build a purpose built facility to house the expanding business further up the road. It took 9 months to demo and rebuild a new shop in a building that had been abandoned for over a decade. All contacts far and wide were pulled in to make the enormous task happen all while still running the old shop. January 12th 2021 the doors opened for the first time in the new location of 168 West Coast road. Welcomed into the new business space was Mankind Apparel, also owned by the Stephenson Family the clothing brand is the perfect compliment to the ever expanding environment. Eight One Eight Barbershop today is a family business comprising of 3 day to day barbers that also happen to be brothers. Over the years the business has evolved from a simple barbershop to a product and service hub that dedicates all its success to the people that have supported it. Although this is just the beginning of a new phase i guess it’s time to write this next chapter. Thanks for sticking with us!
